Sealy Fire Department Holds Pinning Ceremony For Three of Their Own

The fire department badge pinning ceremony has been a long-standing tradition in the fire service for many years. It is a recognition for either joining a department or a promotion to a higher rank. I.e., (Firefighter to Engineer or Engineer to Captain).  The Sealy Fire Department celebrated the promotion of three of their own.  Surrounded by their families and co-workers, the three firefighters celebrated important milestones.  During Austin County Emergency Services District No. 2’s first badge pinning ceremony Captain Kevin Kramr, Captain Eric Ordner and Firefighter Devin Kern were promoted.

Traffic Stop In Sealy, TX Leads to Meth Lab Bust in Wallis, TX

Sealy Police Department working with taskforce officers made a traffic stop at 2949 interstate 10 frontage road. The traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Ricardo Alfredo Galindo (24) from Houston. During the course of the traffic stop, Galindo was found to be in possession of (4) kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. Task Force Officers continued their investigation which led them to a residence located in the 2400 blk of Cunningham road, Wallis Texas. During a search of the residence, they located a clandestine methamphetamine conversion laboratory.

Beautiful Mural Hangs In Justice Center Thanks to Countless Hours Of Volunteer Effort

A beautiful canvas mural of Austin County now hangs in the newly constructed Austin County Justice Center thanks to the hard work and dedication of many volunteers who gave of their time to bring this masterpiece to life!  This Artwork is a 7 ft x 7 ft Canvas of Austin County with images of the different areas of the county both past and present.  It currently hangs in the secure location of the center by the courtrooms.

Bellville EDC Awards $50,000 Grant To Huff Brewery For Tap Room On The Bellville Square [VIDEO]

The Bellville EDC awarded a $50,000 grant to Huff Brewery at Thursday’s Bellville EDC meeting. The grant will be put towards Huff Brewery opening a tap room on the Bellville Square at 11 E Main St, where Ruffus Pleasant previously occupied. The tap room will feature the ability to taste the different beers that the brewery currently prepares from scratch.
