Armed Man Arrested in Austin County for Aggravated Robbery and Deadly Conduct
Joseph Mesa, 35, of Sealy, was arrested by the Austin County Sheriff's Office for Aggravated Robbery and Deadly Conduct after reports of him waving a firearm and shooting at vehicles. Mesa, who was out on bond for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, failed to appear in court on April 9, prompting authorities to revoke his bond. The Sealy Police Department also charged Mesa with Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Attempted Murder, and Interference with an Emergency Call, with bonds totaling $750,000.00.

Austin County Appraisal District – March 21, 2024
The Austin County, Texas Appraisal District met on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 8:30 AM at the Austin County Courthouse 2nd floor due to the damage caused by the storm that hit Bellville on March 15, 2024, causing substantial damage to the appraisal district building. Further meetings will be held at the courthouse until further notice.
