On September 8th, the Bellville Historical Society hosted Dr. Abbie Grubb for an insightful presentation on the history and contributions of Japanese Americans in Texas. Dr. Grubb discussed the immigration patterns, agricultural contributions, and challenges faced by Japanese American communities, particularly during World War II. The event highlighted the resilience of these communities and their lasting impact on Texas’ cultural and economic landscape.

The Bellville Brahmas fought hard in their season opener but fell short against the Celina Bobcats, losing 49-30. Senior Dd Murray led Bellville with 143 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Dj Sanders anchored the defense with 13 tackles and two sacks. Despite a strong third-quarter surge, the Brahmas couldn’t hold off Celina’s relentless offense in the second half.
