Traffic Stop In Sealy, TX Leads to Meth Lab Bust in Wallis, TX

Sealy Police Department working with taskforce officers made a traffic stop at 2949 interstate 10 frontage road. The traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Ricardo Alfredo Galindo (24) from Houston. During the course of the traffic stop, Galindo was found to be in possession of (4) kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. Task Force Officers continued their investigation which led them to a residence located in the 2400 blk of Cunningham road, Wallis Texas. During a search of the residence, they located a clandestine methamphetamine conversion laboratory.

A beautiful canvas mural of Austin County now hangs in the newly constructed Austin County Justice Center thanks to the hard work and dedication of many volunteers who gave of their time to bring this masterpiece to life!  This Artwork is a 7 ft x 7 ft Canvas of Austin County with images of the different areas of the county both past and present.  It currently hangs in the secure location of the center by the courtrooms.

Bucket Calf Project Teaches Children Animal Care And Responsibility At An Early Age

The Austin County Fair Bucket Calf Program took part in the progress show held August 21, 2022, at the Austin County Fairgrounds.  The Bucket Calf Program introduces young children, 4- 8 years old, to the care and responsibility of raising a calf.  The raising of a calf is a family project, and the child works with their parents to bottle feed an orphaned calf sourced from local auction barns or ranchers.  Throught the program children learn to feed, halter break and show their calf.
