The Sealy Chamber of Commerce hosted the I-10 Community Alliance’s “Growth Summit” on Friday March 23, 2018 at the Liedertafel Hall in Sealy, Texas.  The summit was held in order to bring community leaders, businesses and experts in select fields together to discuss places where the area is experiencing current and potential growth.  Among the panelists were experts in the area of Oil and Gas, Advertising & Media, Transporations (Secifically TX Dot Transportation and the Overseeing of the I-10 Expansion) and Travel and Tourism Consultants.

By far the most questioned panelist was Jeffery Vinklarek, the Texas Dept. of Transportation Director of Transportation Planning and Development for the Yoakum District.  A large majority in the audience were interested in the coming years plan for the I-10 expansion as well as travel conditions between Houston and San Antonio.  

The summit officially began at 9 am and lasted until 1 pm.  It ran in 4 segments:

  3. Presentation By Texas Senator Lois Kolkhorst
  4. Panel Q&A
