On April 24, 2024, the Austin County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) and the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office collaborated in a successful joint operation to recover stolen property in the 1200 block of Bostik Rd in Colorado County. The operation resulted in the arrest of Quincy Kyle JANSZEN (6/17/2005) and the recovery of stolen vehicles and items from recent burglaries.

Deputies from both counties arrived at the scene and recovered two vehicles recently reported stolen in New Ulm, Texas, along with items linked to recent burglaries in Colorado County. Furthermore, stolen items from the burglary at Systems Painters in New Ulm, Texas, were also located and recovered.

Quincy Kyle JANSZEN was apprehended at the scene and subsequently taken to the Colorado County jail for booking. While formal charges have not been filed yet, JANSZEN may face charges in Austin County for theft of a motor vehicle and burglary. In Colorado County, JANSZEN has been charged with burglary of a habitation and possession of stolen property valued between $30,000 and $150,000.

This operation exemplified the close coordination and effective collaboration between the Austin County Sheriff’s investigators and the Colorado County Criminal Investigations Division, highlighting their commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety in the region.
