ELAN#3 Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Celebration [VIDEO]
Saturday, March 3rd was a beautiful day for the ‘official’ Grand Opening of ELAN #3 in Wallis. Owners Moez Dhuka and Ali Aziz have other stores, but chose to invest in the Wallis location for their latest venture, realizing the potential growth in the area and liking the genuine nature of the Wallis community. Since purchasing the property many major improvements have launched, starting with opening up the store front with large windows, adding a smoothie/shake machine and the biggest chunk of change going to replacing the gas pumps with sparkling brand new gas tanks and pumps, with the addition of diesel islands too!
It’s a family affair with relative Ike Akbar as Store Manager, who’s been busy with maintaining daily operations in-between the ongoing renovations and construction. More upgrades are in the works, such an outdoor dining area, more lighting and continuing expansion of the menu items and store stock. ELAN #3 sponsored a free raffle for the Grand Opening event with an HDTV, Monster drink fridge and an ice chest as prizes. Raffle tickets were passed out from 10am-2pm to any and all customers entering the store and the winning ticket numbers were posted that afternoon.
To honor the occasion the Wallis Chamber of Commerce sponsored a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate ELAN #3 as a Big Business Member of the ‘Little Chamber That Can’. On hand for the snip of the scissors were the ELAN #3 Owners, Manager, Chamber Members, local residents and several supporting family members. Store staff and family were tasked with preparing delicious food samples throughout the day, featuring some of the expanded menu items, such as gourmet burgers, fish tacos with a tasty sauce and servings of a addictive Parmesan seasoned french fries. In fact, the gourmet burgers are starting to attract regulars from the outlying areas of Wallis, such as East Bernard, Weston Lakes and Fulshear areas.
The bright lights welcoming customers into ELAN #3 is an appreciated addition to the Wallis community and all are looking forward to the future upgrades.
