Obama says, “Government works better now than it probably ever has.” Josh Ernest says, “the Republicans have “no one to blame but themselves,” for illegal immigrant crimes. Would it shock you to know that I AGREE with both of these statements?

Government is working better than it has ever worked before. It is operating more efficiently, funding is more accessible than ever, legislation is passed more quickly than ever. All in all government functions as a well-oiled machine.

The problem is that it was never supposed to be efficient. It was never supposed to have easy and unlimited funding. It was never supposed to pass legislation quickly. It was never supposed to be a well-oiled machine that runs swiftly over the Rights of the people.

Government was supposed to be cumbersome, awkward, and limited in its functioning and power by the People. BECAUSE it is working so well, the people have LESS Liberty and the government has unlimited and unchecked power and resources.

The remedy to all of this, Constitutionally, is two-fold. The first remedy is from within. The House of Representatives have been delegated the power to control all funding through Art. 1 sec. 7 of the Constitution.  They SHOULD be limiting the power of the Executive and Judicial branches. The House should be refusing any and all funding for the executive agencies that are outside Constitutional authority: IRS, EPA, FDA, BLM, DOI, DOE, Dept. Ed, etc… In the refusal to fund these unconstitutional agencies, the Constitution is preserved and the limited nature of government enforced. In that understanding of the proper power and duty of the House, Josh Ernest is then completely correct. The Republicans, with their majority in the House, have no one to blame but themselves for every problem with illegal immigration…because they are funding it. Which also should mean, that any Representative that continues to fund these executive agencies, has the blood of every American victimized by illegal immigrants on their hands. How can they live with that every day?

The second remedy is through the States. The States are independent Sovereign governments, and even Justice Roberts in his ACA opinion proclaimed that it was about time the States start acting like it.

In acting like the Sovereignties that they are, they should be refusing to submit and refusing to comply with any and all executive agency regulations or dictates. They should be standing up for the Rights of the people and ensuring the integrity of the Constitution.

That’s how it’s SUPPOSED to work. The government is NOT supposed to work “well.” It is supposed to be slow and limited. The House is supposed to control the funding to support the Constitution. But it will not work that way until We The People start demanding it work that way. No, voting is not a demand, it is a request. Demanding means we are in their face, literally, on a daily basis (just like the lobbyists) threatening them if they fail to act Constitutionally. Demanding means that we tell them WE WILL NOT COMPLY with any legislation or executive action contrary to the Constitution and if they want to do something about it, well then, MOLAN LABE!
