This Thanksgiving, Powerhouse Church Katy, The Wallis Police Department, and Brandt 1910 are coming together to ensure that everyone in Wallis and the surrounding communities can enjoy a warm meal. For the second year in a row, Food with Gratitude will serve meals to anyone in need or anyone seeking a place to gather on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 6503 Commerce Street in Wallis, Texas.
The event, sponsored by local partners dedicated to helping those in need, is an expression of community support and a reminder of the power of giving back. Last year’s success has set the stage for an even more impactful gathering this year, as Brandt 1910 once again leads the effort in providing meals to those who may otherwise go without.
How You Can Help: To make this event possible, the organizers are calling on community support. Volunteers can donate food or supplies through the SignUpGenius link here, or make a monetary donation for meal preparation. For those bringing food, please drop off items on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., at Brandt 1910. As there are no warming devices at the venue, please keep food warm in a cooler or crockpot labeled with your name. If you need assistance keeping food warm, the team can help arrange that.
Dishes and warmers can be picked up on Friday, November 29, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., or by contacting Natalie DeJong at [email protected]. Your support and kindness help make this event possible, filling not just stomachs but also hearts with gratitude. Thank you for your dedication to making a difference this Thanksgiving!
