The Sealy FFA Land Judging Team has made their mark in the field of sustainable agriculture by earning a 43rd place finish at the national land judging contest in El Reno, Oklahoma. Composed of Ryleigh Gilfoil, Tanner Mauney, Lane Emshoff, and Elena Hernandez, the team’s impressive performance is a testament to their knowledge and dedication in this vital field.
The community of Selman Elementary came together to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week with a week-long celebration. Local businesses and community members donated treats and meals to show their appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the teachers and staff at Selman Elementary.
The Sealy Police Department’s 2023 KidsFish event was a hit among kids and families who gathered for a day of fun-filled fishing and prize-giving. With over 250 children and parents participating in the event, sponsors and donors helped make it all possible.
Congratulations are in order for the Sealy FFA members who excelled at the Bluebonnet District Convention. Ryleigh Gilfoil took 1st place in Extemporaneous Speaking, while Dylan Matthews won 1st place in Talent. Alana Lindsay and Brooke Baber also performed exceptionally well in the Prepared Public Speaking categories. Grayson Oliver, Kenna Schram, Ansley Owen, Jackson Burttschell, and Kenzie Simmons also made important contributions to the convention through their leadership roles.
