Bellville Brahmas Fall Short Against Celina Despite Strong Offensive Effort
The Bellville Brahmas fought hard in their season opener but fell short against the Celina Bobcats, losing 49-30. Senior Dd Murray led Bellville with 143 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Dj Sanders anchored the defense with 13 tackles and two sacks. Despite a strong third-quarter surge, the Brahmas couldn’t hold off Celina’s relentless offense in the second half.

Bellville ISD Seeks Community Input to Honor O’Bryant Intermediate Campus Before Demolition
Following the recent approval of Propositions A and B in the 2023 Bond, Bellville Independent School District (ISD) is gearing up for significant changes that will shape the future of education in the community. With this transition comes the recognition of the historical significance of the O’Bryant Intermediate Campus within the fabric of Bellville ISD. As plans move forward to repurpose the site to better accommodate parking and traffic flow for the O’Bryant Primary Campus, the district is keen on commemorating the legacy of the O’Bryant Intermediate Campus. To facilitate this process, Bellville ISD is inviting community members to participate in a committee meeting slated for Monday, May 20th at 4:30 PM at the O’Bryant Intermediate Library. The purpose of this meeting is to engage in a collaborative discussion on how best to honor the role of the O’Bryant Intermediate Campus in the history of Bellville ISD schools.

Austin County Schools Embrace Spirit of Discovery; Shine Bright Despite Cloudy Eclipse Skies
Despite cloudy skies, Austin County, Texas, residents eagerly gathered to witness the rare total solar eclipse. Students from Brazos ISD and Sealy ISD made the most of the event, using donated eclipse glasses and watching NASA’s live feed. The community’s spirit of curiosity and exploration shone brightly, even when the sun was obscured.

Bellville High School Track Team Shines at District Meet
The Bellville High School track team excelled at the district meet, with several athletes and relay teams qualifying for the Area meet. Led by standout performances from DJ Sanders, Zamarion Thomas, and Allyson Skeen, the Brahma and Brahmanette athletes showcased their talent and determination on the track and in the field. They now look ahead to the upcoming meet, aiming to continue their success and advance further in the competition.
