BISD school campuses are off and on the go!  At the end of the 2nd week, several classes are walking full steam ahead in their quest to Walk Across Texas.  BISD students and their families have walked 21665 miles at the end of the 2nd week.  What a great report! 

Shop Austin County 300 x 600 Second TryO’Bryant Primary has 12,423 miles.  O’Bryant Intermediate has 5,823 miles. West End Elementary is cruising right along with 3,419 miles.  

Kindergarten results are:

  • Mrs. Crelia – 587 miles
  • Mrs. Davis – 448 miles and
  • Mrs. Hardin – 389 miles

First grade results are:

  • Mrs. Graham – 519 miles
  • Mrs. Newman – 464 miles and
  • Mrs. Locke – 449 miles.

Second grade results are:

  • Mrs. Peschel – 1804 miles
  • Mrs. Ables – 809 miles and
  • Mrs. Keen – 311 miles

Third grade results are:

  • Mrs. Springer– 948 miles
  • Mrs. Charpiot– 759 miles and
  • Mrs. Grebe – 711 miles

Fourth grade results are:

  • Mrs. Lange– 723 miles
  • Mrs. Diezi – 682 miles and
  • Mrs. Yantis – 427 miles

Fifth grade results are:

  • Mrs. Schroeder – 624 miles
  • Mrs. Lewis – 613 miles and
  • Mrs. Krueger – 520 miles

On the school front in West End, the results are:

  • Mrs. Peck (2nd Grade) – 551
  • Mrs. Blezinger (5th Grade) – 503 miles
  • Mrs. Henry (Kindergarten) –413 miles
  • Mrs. Armand (2nd Grade) – 373 miles and
  • Mrs. Dobiyanski (4th Grade) – 350 miles

Walk Across Texas is an 8 week walking program promoted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M School for Rural Public Health.  Locally, the fun and fitness program is being sponsored by the Family and Consumer Sciences Advisory Board of the Austin County Extension Service.  Educational programs of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service are open to all people without regard to race, color, sex, disability, religion, age or national origin. Teams are encouraged to have fun and enjoy the healthy benefits of walking. Walk Across Texas is designed primarily to help enhance a healthy lifestyle ‑ the competition is primarily for fun!  Look for the next team report coming soon!  Remember to be active over spring break.  Those miles count big!
