The Bellville, Texas Police Department has recently made an exciting announcement. For the first time ever, they will be sponsoring a member of their community to attend the police academy. Johari Brown, a 2016 graduate of Bellville High School, was selected after two rigorous interview processes conducted by members of the community and the police department.

Johari Brown will be attending the Central Texas Police Academy, which is affiliated with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Services, starting on April 20th, 2023. The police academy will last for four months, with a graduation date of August 31st, 2023. The Bellville Police Department is thrilled to have Johari as a new member of their law enforcement family.

This is a significant move for the Bellville Police Department, as they are making strides towards community policing and engagement. By sponsoring Johari to attend the police academy, they are not only investing in him as an individual but also in their community.
