Webber construction spoke to the Sealy City Council and gave them an update on the progress of the I-10 construction.  They expect to be finished with the entire project by the end of July with a total of 135 days left on the project.  The intersection of hwy 36 and the entrance ramp onto I-10 is scheduled to be open by next Thursday, April 14, 2022.  They look to possibly open up the east bound main lanes from BNSF to the Brazos River by next week, a total of a six-mile section.  Guide signs are currently being placed to guide traffic and mark the exits.  3538 is in phase 3 of a 3-phase system; beams are scheduled for delivery April 18 and pavement is being lined out and hopefully will be open by early May.  Rexville is pretty much done with just a few areas of concrete needing to be poured with some small cleanup.    I-10 overpass at BNSF and Hwy 36 is on phase 3.  Koy Underpass is currently having concrete poured and building out the intersection and is scheduled to be finished before May.  They then will focus on the BNSF turnaround.  Mlcak Rd. is taking the longest but, is entering its final stage with traffic expected to be traveling on the 3 lanes by the end of April.  The Hwy 36 and underpass construction will be the longest upcoming project and will hopefully be completed before Sealybration is held.  They are planning on construction beginning in earnest at the beginning of May.  They warned that there will be substantial traffic issues with lane diversions being necessary and they ask for the public’s patience.  The Brazos River Bridge is in phase 2 of 2.  They anticipate having the bridge deck in May and hopefully will begin accepting traffic on it towards the end of May.  You can watch the entire presentation below from the 00:35:56 mark of the video to the 01:02:38 mark of the video:
