Tri-County ER, a remote emergency department of Bellville Medical Center (BMC), will be located in Sealy at 1036 N. Circle Dr, Suite 102 and is scheduled to open May 11th. While the project had been in the planning stage for several months, the arrival of COVID-19 prompted and enabled an expedited opening to serve Sealy, south Austin County and surrounding areas to help during the pandemic. This will provide needed emergency medical services that will be able to, in addition to COVID-19, address major illnesses and injuries such as heart attacks, strokes, work and home injuries, serious vomiting and diarrhea, dehydration, automobile accidents, high fevers, difficulty breathing.
As a full Emergency Room, complete imaging and laboratory services will be on-site for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. Tri-County ER will be staffed around the clock by board-certified or board-eligible physicians and emergency medicine nurses. Patients of all ages, from infants to senior citizens, will be treated for emergency injuries, issues and illnesses at Tri-County ER. Because of the association with BMC, ambulance patients will be accepted at this location, keeping them close to home and family. In addition, for patients who require a little longer observation to stabilize or be further evaluated, Tri-County will have the ability to keep those patients on Observation status right on the premises.
Payments through Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance and private payments will be accepted at Tri-County ER. This allows more people to receive local emergency medical care, making for a safer, healthier community.
With this addition, Austin County medical services become more comprehensive. Tri-County ER looks forward to serving the citizens of Sealy, Wallis, Waller County and Colorado County in the Tri-County ER facility.
