**Update 4:45pm- road is back open**

In a recent incident in Sealy, TX has caused significant disruption to the local transportation network.  A train derailment took place at the Front St/Fourth St crossings for Steinhausers and the HWY 36 crossings are now closed.  Sealy PD is currently on the scene, managing the situation and ensuring public safety.
 
According to preliminary reports, the train was carrying crushed rock when multiple cars either partially derailed or completely turned over. The extent of the damage and the cause of the derailment are still under investigation.
 
BNSF Railroad crews have arrived at the scene and are actively assessing the situation. They are working alongside the Sealy PD to determine the best course of action for clearing the tracks and resuming normal operations.
 
At this time, it is unclear when the HWY 36 crossings will reopen. Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes. Updates on the situation will be provided as more information becomes available.
 
Residents and businesses in the vicinity of the derailment are advised to exercise caution and follow any instructions provided by local authorities.
