There was a 2 car accident on Highway 1456 (just after Sanders Estates before the Piney Creek Bridge) this morning due to wet road conditions. Four people were injured; one with a leg injury and one with a shoulder injury. The other 2 individuals were reported with general bruising. Austin County EMS transported the individuals to Belliville St. Jospeh’s for evaluation and treatment. Calls to the Austin County DPS Office for further details have not yet been returned.
