The victory was the Buccaneers’ seventh road win of the season and pushed their perfect record to 8-0.

“It was a good team win on the road after nine days off,” Blinn head coach Jeff Jenkins said. “We got to play all 11 of our players for some very good minutes.”

After a close first quarter in which the Buccaneers held a 15-13 edge, Blinn used tough defense to build a 36-19 cushion at the half. The Bucs’ lead swelled to 58-33 heading into the fourth quarter.

Sophomore forward Tiffany Tullis paced Blinn with 17 points, and sophomore guards Skylar Barnes and Hannah Humphrey added 15 and 10 points, respectively.

The Buccaneers will play their second home game of the season when they host Western Texas College at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Kruse Center in Brenham, Texas.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
