Yesterday morning, the foundation for the new Bellville Police Department’s police station was poured. A Mark III Concrete Pumper was on the scene to assist with the process.
The new station is located on the corner of Hwy 36 and Chesley, beside J&R Food Mart. It is being built on a lot that includes a retention pond, which is designed to keep excess water runoff from heavy rain from affecting the building. This is especially important for the area, as torrential downpours can be common.
The building has been designed by Burns Architecture and is expected to open in late 2023. It is being built to meet the needs of the Bellville Police Department and the community it serves.
We are excited to see the progress on the new police station and look forward to its completion. The new facility will provide a modern, efficient space for the police department to serve and protect the residents of Bellville.
