The holidays are upon us and if you are like me the desire to decorate takes hold and doesn’t let go until January first! There is something in elaborate holiday decorating that brings back a childlike joy but that joy can cost a fortune if you are not a savvy shopper.

Here are some tricks for getting the biggest bang for your buck when you decorate this year.

Sales, sales sales!

Watch the papers and the internet for big sales. When you find them you need to check online for coupons that can be used in conjunction with the sale. There is nothing more thrilling than finding an item at a percent off and then getting a 20% off of your total purchase……INCLUDING sale items to drive any crafter into a frenzy!

Coupons

With the advent of the smart phone there is no reason to not have a coupon at a store. You can simply download the app and have the cashier scan the barcode from your phone.

If you don’t have a smart phone not to despair! You can still print out coupons and bring them with you.
