It was great weather Saturday morning for a run and it showed with the Faith Academy Cross Country Team who ran at the Brent Event 5K in Sugarland. Cruising through the finish line as first over-all female was Freshman Brianna Gallaher. Brianna had a smoking time of 20:22 in the 3.1 mile race. Shortly after came Senior Kelli Haynes, Chrislyn Turner, 8th, and Josh Poorman, 7th, all recording times in the 21 min. range. Soon after John Poorman, 5th, Luke Potter, 7th, and Joe Kieler, 6th, came across with times in the 23 min range. Taylor Hetzel, 7th, also had a strong finish with a time of 24:32. Freshman Miguel Guerrero was competing in his first 10K (6.2 miles) capped the excitement of the day finishing 4th over-all with an impressive time of 41:41. A lot of hard work goes into running these distances and times and they deserve a pat on the back. Go Knights Cross Country!!
