If you were in Levine Park in Sealy yesterday you might have seen a crowd gathered around 6:30 pm. If you did see the crowd, then you witnessed a first for the Austin County Area. Eight Churches came together as one to pray for our nation in the hopes of healing it. Not only were the eight churches present but, the Sealy Fire Department, Police Department, some of the Sealy City Council and other city officials were there to pray in solidarity. All tolled there were 118 people gathered in the final moments of the prayer service singing Amazing Grace.
The churches that were present by their representatives were:
- The Shepherds Way Church In Sealy
- Bethal Baptist Church of San Felipe
- Paul Ame Church of Sealy
- Prairie View A&E Church of San Felipe
- The ROM Church of Sealy
- First Methodist Church of Sealy
- New Day Deliverance of San Felipe and,
- Immaculate Conception of Sealy
