“This is a wonderful opportunity for area residents to get an early look at the new museum project, opening in 2018. This project will bring tourists, families and history-lovers to Austin County and will be a dynamic offering that uses our unique past to connect visitors to a very real, and forgotten, place – the site where Stephen F. Austin managed his Colony before the Texas Revolution,” said Carolyn Bilski, President of the Friends of the San Felipe de Austin SHS.
Those interested in attending can call (979) 885-2181 for more information. They can also follow the state historic site on Facebook for updates and additional information.
