Sealy City Council heard from CenterPoint Energy’s Brian Anderson during the Sealy City Council Meeting. He was there to explain the $4 million planned work in developing the power grid in the southwest corridor of Sealy.
“We are concerned about the infrastructure of the town of Sealy,” stated Anderson. There is power in that area but there are upgrades that are needed to help expand and develop the area of Hwy 90W, I-10, Eagle Lake Rd and FM3013.
The motion to approve the variance of primary electrical service at the intersection of FM3538 and I-10 was made and seconded. This will help provide the electrical service needed for the yearlong project the Sealy Economic Development Corporation has been working on with Prasek’s Sausage.
