The City of Sealy was jarred by the news of former police Chief John Tollett’s passing. The information was shared via the Sealy Police Departments Facebook Page. Their post reads:
With heavy hearts, the Sealy Police Department regretfully informs the citizens of Sealy of the untimely death of Chief John Tollett. Chief Tollett passed away in the early hours of July 19, 2015 after succumbing to a sudden illness.
Chief Tollett served the City of Sealy with dedication and pride for over 8 years before retiring in December of 2014.Prior to law enforcement, Chief Tollett was in the U.S. Army for four years and a Houston firefighter for 15 years. He began his law enforcement career with the Friendswood Police Department as a patrolman eventually promoting to Commander.
