California Fires Spark Massive Mandatory Evacuations; Wineries Burn As Winds Hit 93 MPH [VIDEO]

California’s annual wildfires are back despite a series of planned power outages aimed at preventing them – the latest of which is expected to affect as many as 3 million people across huge swaths of the state. The most intense fires raged through Sonoma County, with some 180,000 residents ordered to evacuate. At least two wineries have burned in the blaze; the Soda Rock Winery and the Healdsburg winery.

Beijing Confirms Arrest Of Two Americans As Trade Tensions Rise

In a report that probably sent a chill down the spine of all Americans working or living in mainland China, two Americans who run an English-teaching business in China have been arrested and detained on “bogus” charges, according to a statement published on their company’s Facebook page. Jacob Harlan, a father of five, and Alyssa Petersen, were arrested in Jiangsu province last month, according to Hong Kong Free Press.
