BRENHAM, Texas- The Blinn College men’s basketball team earned a 74-67 win over Lone Star College-Cy Fair on Wednesday night in the P.E. Building.
“We played a really good aggressive first half and were intense on defense,” said Scott Schumacher, Blinn head coach. “I thought Cy Fair did a good job of attacking us, but I give our guys credit for hanging in there and pulling out the win.”
Curtlon Wesley led the Buccaneers with 13 points, while Bradley George posted 12, and Antione Lister and Tyrus Grayson followed with 10 each.
The Buccaneers came out strong to finish the first half with a 38-23 lead. Although Lone Star College fought back to post 44 points in the second half, the Buccaneers remained in control of the game and walked off the court with a 74-67 victory.
With the win, the Buccaneers improved their record to 4-1.
Blinn will take on Weatherford College in a pre-conference game on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. in the P.E. Building.
