The Blinn College women’s soccer team managed just one goal on 16 shots, but it was good enough for a 1-0 win over Cisco College Saturday afternoon at Rankin Field in Brenham.
Madison Kanelos scored for the Buccaneers to give them the non-conference win. Blinn improved to 4-3-1 for the season.
“Although we won, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done,” assistant coach Alexandria Jackson said. “We need to improve on capitalizing on opportunities in the final third and set pieces to get results in the best conference in the NJCAA.”
Blinn returns to conference play Sunday, Oct. 3, against Navarro College. That game was rescheduled from Sept. 15 and is scheduled for 5 p.m.
