The road win puts Blinn at 10-0 in conference and 29-1 on the season. The Buccaneers haven’t lost since Aug. 20, running their win streak to 28 straight matches with the victory over Victoria.
Blinn won 25-12, 25-15, 25-10 in what head coach Terry Gamble said was “a team effort.”
“I thought the girls played really well today,” he said.
The Bucs had a sparkling .465 hitting percentage, with 40 kills in the match. They were led by Jayde Shelton and Reagan Casey with eight kills each. Ashley Taylor and Chard’e Van Zandt had six each.
Lina Ellila and Samantha Sebek combined for all 31 of Blinn’s assists, with 19 and 12 respectively. Lixai Perez led the Bucs with nine digs.
Blinn travels to Navarro College on Saturday for a 2 p.m. conference match. The Bucs host Wharton County Junior College next Wednesday for a 6 p.m. match in the Kruse Center.
