The Buccaneers built a first-quarter lead and rode that momentum to an 80-69 non-conference victory over Louisiana State University-Eunice in Eunice, Louisiana.
“This was a great road win against a good team who had a terrific crowd tonight,” Blinn head coach Jeff Jenkins said.
Blinn (2-0) was on the receiving end of big outputs from freshmen Tiffany Tullis (27 points) and Telisha Brown (21). Freshmen Makayla Patterson, Hannah Humphrey and Jakoriah Long added nine, six, and six points, respectively.
The Buccaneers will take their home court for the first time this season when they host Western Texas College at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 inside the Kruse Center in Brenham. Saturday’s home tilt kicks off a stretch of three home games in a row for Blinn, which will also take on McLennan Community College at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, and Temple College at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987. For more information, visit www.buccaneersports.com.
