The Blinn College women’s soccer program recently received a 2019 College Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award from the United Soccer Coaches Association for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior, and adherence to the laws of the game.
“I am thrilled that the Blinn women’s soccer team received such a prestigious honor from the United Soccer Coaches,” head coach Michael McBride said. “Our players should be very proud of the exceptional discipline and attitude they displayed on the field throughout the season.”
A total of 143 high school and college teams that competed in the fall were selected. Blinn was the only team selected from the Region XIV conference.
Blinn finished the 2019 season with a 6-9-1 overall record and 4-7-1 conference record.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 41 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
