Phoenix Knives, the originator and host of the annual Texas Select Event, is proud to announce its partnership with the Battleship Texas Foundation. The Foundation will bring authentic historic relics from the famous veteran of WWI and WWII to be displayed at the Texas Select Custom Cutlery Event, taking place at the Austin County Fair Convention & Expo center in Bellville, TX Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2.
The event is a unique opportunity to explore the history and current restoration project of Battleship Texas, and to raise public awareness of this historic landmark. Visitors will have the chance to see one of the actual 20mm anti-aircraft guns from the ship and learn more about the Foundation’s efforts to turn Battleship Texas into a premier hands-on museum and visitor attraction.
Founded in 1998, the Battleship Texas Foundation exists as an advocate for the ship and works to preserve its history for future generations. The Foundation’s involvement in the Texas Select Custom Cutlery Event is a testament to its commitment to promoting public awareness and appreciation for the ship’s rich history.
Texas Select Custom Cutlery Event will feature knifemakers from all across the US, and is expected to be the largest organized gathering of custom knifemakers in the greater Houston area.
