The Austin County Commissioners Court finalized when they will be having their electronics recycle day. It was decided to be on Saturday July 25, 2015 from 8 am till noon. County Judge Tim Lapham went over the list of items that they will be taking, primarily what they have in the past: computers, TV, scrap metal, oil, and metal appliances (except dishwashers because there is not enough metal in them for the space they take). No pesticides, paints, chemicals or tires will be accepted. It was also decided that this recycle day is going to be a partnership between the county and the City of Bellville and will take place at Bellville’s recycle center. This location was selected because they are already setup to take many kinds of recyclable materials but, also in an effort to help spotlight Bellville’s Recycle Center to the County to let residents know that there is a place that they can take your recyclables too. A flyer is being printed with a complete detailed list of all the items that will be accepted during the e-waste recycling drive.
