On January 2, 2017, the Austin County Aggie Mothers Club celebrated Aggie students and scholarship recipients with a chili supper and slide show. Fightin’ Texas Aggies from the classes of ’20, ‘19, ‘18 and ’17 showed pictures of activities they have participated in over the summer and fall. The Aggie Moms got to see and hear about adventures from the students like Fish Camp, Corps of Cadets, Impact, business leadership, mission trips, Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, Washington DC internship, Aggie-Con, water conservation in Africa, and elephant rescue in Thailand!
Austin County Aggie Moms are proud of the accomplishments of our Austin County Aggies, and invite all mothers of Aggies (current and past) to join us for our next meeting at the Sen Center on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at 5:30. We are a nonprofit organization with the singular goal of helping students attend Texas A&M through scholarships. We will enjoy a light snack at 5:30 followed by our business meeting to discuss raising funds for the next round of Austin County Aggie scholarship students.
Austin County Aggie Mothers Club will be hosting a dinner and dance on Feb. 10, 2017 at the Bellville United Methodist Church MAC (Methodist Activity Center). This dance features the one and only Aggieland Orchestra under the direction of Colonel Jay Brewer. This is our biggest fundraiser, so please join us for a delicious catered meal, and dance the night away to the big band music of the Aggieland Orchestra. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased from an Aggie Mom, Austin County Bank, or at First National Bank in Bellville.
In our silent auction we will feature two signed and numbered prints done by renowned Texas Aggie Artist, Benjamin Knox. He has graciously donated these special prints to Aggie Mothers Clubs all over Texas for the purpose of raising funds for scholarships. Our two prints will be displayed at Austin County State Bank and First National Bank in Bellville until the auction in February. Other silent auction items are being accepted, as well as gifts of funds. Please contact Patti Sebesta at [email protected] or Donna Brandt at [email protected] to donate items for the silent auction. Gifts of funds for “Austin County Aggie Mothers Club” scholarships can be sent to P.O. Box 944, Sealy, TX 77474. Gig’em, Aggies! And thank you for your support!
