The Faith Academy Lady Knights competed in two non-district games last week. We stepped up in competition and faced Conroe Covenant and St. Joseph Catholic School, both 2A programs.
On Tues, the Lady Knights fell short to the Cougars by a score of 36-26. The girls fought hard with Olivia Catlett scoring 15 points and Lacy Phillips scoring 7.
Friday night against St. Joseph, Lacy Phillips scored 9 points and Olivia Catlett scored 8 points. The game was close for three quarters but St. Joseph proved to be too much down the stretch. The final score was 51-25.
These two teams gave the Lady Knights a great test of our strengths and weaknesses as they prepare for a deep playoff run. The Lady Knights are off this week but look to keep their perfect district record in tact as they prepare next week’s home game against Conroe Lifestyle, Friday, Jan. 20th at 6:00pm.
Player of the Week is Olivia Catlett.
Olivia scored 23 points and 21 rebounds last week.
She continues to lead by example with hard work and dedication as she looks to lead her team to a district title and playoff run.
