Mid Coast Medical Center - Bellville is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, with full-time and part-time opportunities available. Provide professional nursing care while supporting patient-centered service and quality outcomes.
What you'll do
- Deliver organized nursing care using the nursing process and established hospital policies, protocols and procedures.
- Monitor patients’ behavioral and physiological status, responding appropriately to their individual care needs.
- Provide patient-centered care that addresses age-related needs and the needs of patients with disabilities.
- Maintain and improve nursing knowledge and skills, and participate in quality improvement activities.
What you'll bring
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with registration through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Hold CPR and ACLS certifications; PALS certification is preferred for this nursing position.
- Meet physical demands including prolonged standing and walking, plus lifting, positioning, pushing and transferring patients.
- Perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching while carrying out patient care responsibilities.
- Work rotational shifts, holidays and weekends as needed, with occasional irregular hours and emergency or crisis situations.
- Arrive for scheduled morning shifts by 6:45 a.m. or evening shifts by 6:45 p.m. to complete chart review.
