In accordance with the employment policies of Austin County, The Austin County Sheriffโs Office, is accepting applications for Full Time Patrol Deputy ACSO is currently seeking qualified applicants for current and future Certified Peace Officer positions. Must hold a current TCOLE Peace Officer Certificate Starting Salary: $56,503/year (after 60 day probation) Step Raises at 6mo, 3yrs, 7yrs and 12yrs BENEFITS Medical; Dental; Vision; Life, AD&D, TCDRS County Retirement System (8 years to vesting), Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays; Certificate Pay, Longevity Pay Patrol deputies work 12-hour shifts and work 15 days each month. Every other weekend off is a 3-day weekend. Preference will be given to current or retired peace officers seeking lateral entry. Successful candidates must pass the ACSO comprehensive pre-employment background, which includes but is not limited written exam, medical exam, psychological exam, credit history, work history.
