The Wallis Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to kick off the holiday season together as the annual Hometown Country Christmas Parade returns on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. This beloved small-town tradition brings Wallis families, neighbors, and visitors together for an evening of lights, music and festive cheer in the heart of downtown Wallis.

This year’s Hometown Country Christmas Parade will begin at South 9th Street and make its way to the Wallis American Legion Hall, Post 200. Residents and visitors can expect a classic hometown celebration filled with decorated floats, local organizations sharing holiday goodies, and plenty of holiday excitement. Following the parade, the festivities continue at Brandt 1910. Santa Claus will be waiting to visit with children and hear their holiday wishes. Santa will pose for photos, and hand out goodie bags. Families are encouraged to stroll downtown after the parade and enjoy the gathering, adding to the cozy, close-knit feel that makes Wallis’ holiday season so special.

To make the evening safer and more enjoyable for everyone and prevent traffic issues, the Chamber asks attendees to park downtown and walk to Brandt 1910 for the post-parade celebration. Organizers say the event is the perfect opportunity to come together and celebrate Christmas the small-town way.
