Three players on the Blinn College men’s basketball team have been named All-Region XIV team for the 2014-15 season.
Lionheart Leslie and Ja’Cardo Hawkins were each named to the second-team All-Region XIV Conference South Zone team while Jalan McCloud was listed as honorable mention.
“Having three guys recognized for the All-Conference team is due to the face that we had a successful regular season,” said coach Scott Schumacher.
Leslie averaged a team-leading 14.7 points per game to go along with 5.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds a game.
Hawkins nearly averaged a double-double during the season with 12.9 points and 9.6 rebounds as a freshman.
McCloud averaged 11.7 points on the year.
Blinn finished with a 23-9 overall record and a 13-8 conference mark. The Buccaneers beat Paris Junior College in the first round of the Region XIV Tournament, 80-79, but lost to Angelina College 80-74 in the quarterfinals.
