The Bellville High School Playmakers recently competed in the One-Act Play competition, and they have advanced to Bi-District. This is a significant accomplishment for the students who have worked hard to perfect their performance and compete with other schools in the area.

During the competition, the students received several awards recognizing their outstanding performances and contributions to the production. Ilaria Potenza received the “All Star Crew” and “Best Overall Crew” awards. These awards recognize the contributions of individuals who work behind the scenes to bring a one-act play production to life, including lighting design, sound design, set construction, costuming, makeup, props, and stage management.

EJ Caravello, Maddie Diezi, and Kaleb Jacobs received the “All Star Cast” award, which recognizes outstanding performances by individual actors. Chase Kourik received the “Best Performer” award for his exceptional performance in the play.

The Bellville High School Playmakers will advance to Bi-District with Needville and Sealy. The next competition will be held at El Campo High School on March 22, 2023. The students are excited to continue competing and hope to bring home more awards and recognition for their hard work and dedication.

The Bellville High School Playmakers have demonstrated their commitment to excellence in the arts and are a testament to the value of arts education in schools. They have worked tirelessly to perfect their performances and have earned recognition for their outstanding efforts. We wish them the best of luck in their upcoming competition and look forward to seeing their continued success.
