It’s that time of year again, the county fair is right around the corner.  All 4-H and FFA members that will be exhibiting Goats, Lambs and Swine will need to make plans to attend one of the upcoming animal tag in’s in order to validate ownership.  The first tag in will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Austin County Fair Grounds.  Swine tag in will take place from 6:00 – 8:00 a.m., while tag in for Goats and Lambs will take place from 7:00 – 10:00 a.m.

The next and final tag for Goats and Lambs will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Austin County Fair Grounds from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  The final tag in for Swine will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Austin County Fair Grounds from 6:00 – 8:00 a.m.

Tag in fees are $5.00 per animal, and will be due at the time of tag in.  Exhibitors are encouraged to visit the http://austincountyfair.com website to download the official rule book, or you can stop by the Extension Office and pick one up.
