Computerized voting machines have been around for over a decade and many Texans don’t trust them.  Well, now we know why.  Dr. Laura Pressley’s historic election contest has uncovered electronic voting machine corruption errors, security breaches, and missing election data.

When Travis County Elections Division was asked to produce official backup records to validate the outcome of Dr. Pressley’s Austin election, key data came up missing.  More information has come to light and similar election issues are going on all across Texas.

Pressley Files Historic Appeal

Engaging the legal system is one of the most powerful avenues we have to return to balanced, clean elections.  As Texans, we certainly know how to stand up, come together and exercise our personal responsibilities.

Pressley did just that.  She is the first Texas candidate to appeal an election contest citing electronic voting machine corruption errors and their inability to retain mandated election records.

Which Texas laws are being violated?

For over 10 years, Texas’ Secretary of State’s office and County Clerks appear to be violating numerous election laws since the start of electronic voting: Article VI, Chapter 128, Chapter 213, Chapter 52, and Chapter 66.

Below is what a supporter sent to her state senator when his office parroted false information about Pressley’s lawsuit and what constitutes an official Texas ballot.

“The SOS office claims a Cast Vote Record is a ballot.  Texas law documents otherwise.  Note, the Cast Vote Record is not an official ballot per Texas Constitution and the Texas Election Code.  It is not even an image of an official ballot.  The aspect that the SOS’s office does not understand the statutorily required components of a Texas ballot is a little disturbing.”

Ways to help:  Contact the Secretary of State, your elected representatives, your County Clerks and demand they follow Texas election laws regarding retention of ballot images for electronic voting machines.  Here is a summary of the laws and the case for reference.

Below is her presentation and slideshow that she recently gave for LibertyFest 2015 in Houston, Texas.  You can go HERE for further details.
