Dating back 190 years to when Henry Fanthorp married Rachel, the inn served as a vital hub for travelers like Abel Beardsley, whose letters detail life there in the 1850s. Closed for renovations since September, the inn plans a grand reopening in October, offering events like butter churning and celebrations of historical milestones.
