Many of us have seen the photos of sea life being impacted by the plastic rings that we see holding cans together on beer or soda. It’s a sad fact but, 80% of the plastic that humans throw away ends up in the ocean. But, now, a small brewery in Florida is trying to do something about that and they’re hoping that the big boys of beer and soda will take notice. Saltwater Brewery in Delray Beach Florida has created an edible six pack ring made out of barley that that is not only biodegradable but, can actually be eaten by the sea life if it ends up in the ocean.
