The fifth-ranked Buccaneers earned a 2-0 win in the best-of-three Collegiate Valorant matchup to improve to 3-0 on the year. The victory guaranteed the Buccaneers a first-place finish in its group and advanced them to phase two of Collegiate Valorant play.
Competing for Blinn were sophomore Austin Ray and freshmen Hayden Whitaker, Shawn Fox, Khanh Dewy, and Adam Laamoumi.
“It was a strong dominant win for the team, and we are excited to advance and continue our Collegiate Valorant run,” Buccaneers head coach Aaron Kapiko said.
Blinn plays its next Valorant match at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, against Kennesaw State University. The Bucs will face the University of Jamestown in a Super Smash Bros match at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
