The independent, family-owned K. Spoetzl Brewery has announced a historic addition to its 116-year brewing legacy with the release of Shiner Bock Non-Alcoholic, a new alcohol-free version of its flagship beer designed to meet growing consumer demand for non-alcoholic options.

Inspired by the original Shiner Bock — the No. 1 craft beer in Texas and the top-selling bock beer in the United States — the new release brings the brewery’s most recognizable brew into the rapidly expanding non-alcoholic beverage market.

The launch builds on the success of Shiner’s Rodeo non-alcoholic line, introduced in 2023, and reflects changing drinking habits among consumers as interest in alcohol-free beverages continues to grow nationwide.

Shiner Bock Non-Alcoholic is crafted to mirror the taste profile of the original beer while containing less than 0.5% alcohol by volume. The American-style amber brew blends roasted barley malt, German specialty hops, and artesian well water to create a smooth, balanced flavor with a crisp finish. The beer features aromas of toasted malt and caramel and pours in the same deep amber hue longtime fans expect.

The lightly hopped amber brew pairs well with classic Texas foods such as smoked brisket, grilled sausage, and mole enchiladas.

Shiner Bock Non-Alcoholic began arriving on retail shelves nationwide in January and is sold in 12-ounce cans packaged in six-packs. The packaging retains Shiner’s signature yellow design and iconic ram logo, now featuring a blue and silver banner clearly identifying the product as non-alcoholic.

The expansion comes as non-alcoholic beer options continue to grow in popularity. A 2023 Gallup poll found alcohol consumption among adults ages 18 to 34 declined from 72% to 62% over the past two decades, signaling a shift toward moderation and alternative beverage choices.

With the introduction of Shiner Bock Non-Alcoholic, the historic Texas brewery continues evolving while maintaining the traditions that have defined the brand for more than a century.
