The Sealy Tigers stormed into Navasota with something to prove, and they delivered an electrifying performance that left no doubt about their dominance, defeating the Navasota Rattlers 70-33 in a thrilling showdown on Friday night.

From the very first whistle, the Tigers set the tone with an explosive offensive display. Quarterback Kane Killough wasted no time, connecting with Elijah Sanders for a 22-yard touchdown pass just minutes into the first quarter. The early strike put Sealy on the board, and they never looked back. The Tigers’ defense, led by standout performances from Jadon Hernandez and Javien Grant, capitalized on Navasota’s mistakes, turning turnovers into points and keeping the pressure on the Rattlers throughout the game.

Alan Williams added to the Tigers’ early momentum with a 22-yard rushing touchdown, followed by another quick score from Killough, who dashed 28 yards into the end zone. By the end of the first quarter, Sealy had already built a commanding 28-6 lead, thanks to a pick-six by Elijah Sanders that stunned the Navasota crowd.

The second quarter saw more of the same, as Grant joined the pick-six party with a 30-yard return, further extending the Tigers’ lead. Sealy’s offense continued to roll with Beau Finley punching in a 1-yard rushing touchdown, making it 42-13 at halftime.

The third quarter brought a brief glimmer of hope for Navasota, as they capitalized on a Sealy fumble and managed to score on a passing touchdown. However, the Tigers quickly extinguished any hope of a comeback with a 35-yard rushing touchdown by Noah Washington, pushing the lead to 49-26.

In the final quarter, Sealy’s relentless defense continued to shine. Javien Grant capped off his stellar night with a 23-yard fumble return for a touchdown, sealing the victory in style. Alan Williams added another rushing touchdown to his tally, and Israel Santos remained perfect with his PATs, securing the final score of 70-33.

Looking Ahead
