The Sealy Police Department is reporting on their Facebook Page this evening that suspects that had broken into concession building used by the Greater Sealy Little League at B&PW Park have been apprehended.
This morning at approximately 1am subjects broke into the concession building used by the Greater Sealy Little League at B&PW Park, located at 1008 Main Street. Once entry was made, the subjects stole concession and miscellaneous merchandise. During this criminal episode, the subjects caused significant damage to the building and locks on the park’s lighting control box. During review of the park’s video surveillance system, it was shown that the subjects tried to hide their identity, but failed to do so in time.
Within 5 hours of the crime being reported, one of our plainclothes investigators spotted two subjects walking in town and identified one as a suspect in the video. The suspect was detained along with another individual. An investigation ensued which led our officers and detectives to the Rooms4Rent motel located at 207 North Meyer. The stolen property as well as other evidence was recovered from a room along with the finding of the second subject observed in the video surveillance from the park. Both suspects were detained at the police department for further investigation. Subsequently, warrants were issued and served on both suspects for Burglary of Building and Criminal Mischief over $2500.
