On January 18, 2024, the Sealy Chamber of Commerce and the Fulshear Katy Area Chamber of Commerce joined hands to host this month’s “Thirsty Thursday” event. Held at the Frydek Roadhouse & Winegarden, situated at 10108 FM 1458, Sealy, TX 77474, this after-work social gathering attracted members of the business community keen on expanding their network.

“Thirsty Thursdays” are a recurring Business After Hours event that takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. These gatherings are held at various locations throughout the Greater Sealy Chamber of Commerce area, providing a platform for local businesses to connect, network, and foster new professional relationships.

The venue, Frydek Roadhouse & Winegarden, located just 2 miles south of I-10, offered a welcoming environment for attendees to mingle, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. With its strategic location just off of I-10, the event aimed to bring together business enthusiasts from across the region, promoting the growth and vitality of the local business community.  The menu at Frydek Road House offers a cuisine that can be described as American comfort food with a Southern and Tex-Mex influence. It features a diverse range of dishes, including classic American burgers, seafood options like grilled Redfish and catfish, Cajun-inspired items such as crawfish pies and boudin egg rolls, Tex-Mex soft tacos, and a variety of appetizers and salads. The menu combines flavors and ingredients commonly found in Southern and Texan cooking, making it a delightful destination for those looking for hearty and flavorful dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Sealy Chamber of Commerce, established in 1934, is a non-profit organization comprising professionals and community-minded individuals from the Sealy area. Their mission is to promote business in Sealy and enhance the community. Through various programs, they cater to a diverse audience, offering resources and networking opportunities for businesses of all sizes and community residents. The chamber actively recruits local member support to sustain their programs and plays a vital role in advocating for a favorable business environment and a strong community identity in Sealy.

The Fulshear-Katy Area Chamber of Commerce is a dedicated partner in the success of businesses across Fort Bend, Waller, and Harris Counties in Texas. Their mission is to Serve, Protect, and Promote business in the Fulshear-Katy Region. They offer a vibrant community of excellence, emphasize innovation, and provide networking opportunities to support and uplift the business community.
