The San Felipe De Austin State Historic site is preparing to open their newest outdoor exhibit: Villa de Austin. The exhibit will present stories from San Felipe de Austin’s business district and will open on the weekend of November 13th and 14th with free admission. It will feature such attractions as the Farmer’s Hotel building which includes a tavern, mercantile and tailor’s shop and a period accurate cellar for cold storage. In fact, past archeological investigations from the site led to the proper development of the cellar. Living history programming at the tavern is set to often include music. So, mark your calendar.
